Basic Shapes: 52 3D models
Spheres, blobs, tubes and other building blocks (real sizes any). Each one is a ready-made 3D model you can turn, recolour and place in a figure — open BioDioRama and type its name in the Library search.
Shapes 52
- Sheet (any outline) — A flat sheet in the outline you choose — rectangle, circle, star, heart, leaf, cell and more — at an exact width, depth and thickness. Bend, twist, wave or crumple it (Shape changes), drape it over other items like cloth, or reshape it by hand with the Reshape brush.
- Sphere — A smooth ball.
- Blob — An organic lumpy shape — handy for cells, cytoplasm and anything squishy. Shuffle for new shapes.
- Rounded cube — A box with adjustable rounded corners.
- Cylinder — A cylinder (rod, disc or can).
- Cone — A cone or truncated cone.
- Ring (torus) — A doughnut shape.
- Capsule — A pill shape — rods, bacteria, vessels.
- Curvy tube — A wavy tube — fibres, vessels, worms. Shuffle for a new path.
- Helix / spring — A coiled tube.
- Disc — A flat round plate with soft edges.
- Star — A five-pointed star (for highlights and icons).
- Plane (editable mesh) — A clean plane mesh, like the basic shapes of 3D programs — reshape it with Edit shape (Tab).
- Cube (editable mesh) — A clean cube mesh, like the basic shapes of 3D programs — reshape it with Edit shape (Tab).
- Circle (editable mesh) — A clean circle mesh, like the basic shapes of 3D programs — reshape it with Edit shape (Tab).
- UV Sphere (editable mesh) — A clean uv sphere mesh, like the basic shapes of 3D programs — reshape it with Edit shape (Tab).
- Ico Sphere (editable mesh) — A clean ico sphere mesh, like the basic shapes of 3D programs — reshape it with Edit shape (Tab).
- Cylinder (editable mesh) — A clean cylinder mesh, like the basic shapes of 3D programs — reshape it with Edit shape (Tab).
- Cone (editable mesh) — A clean cone mesh, like the basic shapes of 3D programs — reshape it with Edit shape (Tab).
- Torus (editable mesh) — A clean torus mesh, like the basic shapes of 3D programs — reshape it with Edit shape (Tab).

- Capsule (editable mesh) — A clean capsule mesh, like the basic shapes of 3D programs — reshape it with Edit shape (Tab).
- Pyramid — A square pyramid.
- Triangular prism — A wedge-like three-sided prism.
- Hemisphere (dome) — Half a sphere — domes, caps, colonies.
- Pipe (hollow tube) — A hollow cylinder — tubing, vessels, channels, catheters.
- Tetrahedron — Four triangular faces.
- Octahedron — Eight faces — crystals, nanoparticles.
- Icosahedron — Twenty faces — virus capsids.
- Gear — A toothed wheel — machines and devices.
- Arrow (3D) — A solid arrow for pointing in 3D scenes.
- Cross / plus — A thick plus sign.
- Hexagon tile — A hexagonal prism — honeycomb, cells in a sheet, icons.
- Ellipsoid (egg / oval) — A stretched sphere with its own width, depth and height — eggs, nuclei, vesicles, bacteria.
- Rounded cube–sphere — Anything between a sphere and a cube — nanocubes, rounded boxes, pillows. Roundness 1 = sphere.
